With everything onsite at the hotel for this beautiful Mercure Grange wedding it was a very relaxed day. Sarah prepared in one of the guest bedrooms with her bridal party. They enjoyed a few glasses of Prosecco and a lot of giggles. With both myself and Jodie on site, Jodie could stay with the bridal party whilst I went to down to the groom. I found him and his groomsmen relaxing in the bar. This way, when Sarah and Mark look back at their photos they can enjoy seeing what the other was up to before the ceremony.
Dave, the MC, escorted Sarah down to the intimate and romantic ceremony. With the knot tied, the newly weds were followed out of the hotel for confetti and group photos. There’s a great upstairs window at the Mercure for some aerial shots of the whole wedding party. After a little organisation, Jodie shaped the group into a heart for the group shot. I returned downstairs and we continued to photograph the families before whisking Mark and Sarah off for their intimate couples photos. Even Polo the dog made it into a few of the pictures!
The Mercure Grange has lots of great and varied spots for photos. From the massive lawn, the brick arch, stone tunnel, huge trees and around the building itself, it’s almost too hard to choose where to start! Sarah hadn’t arrived in the bridal car (kindly provided by a guest), so we took the opportunity to have it moved to the front of the building so it could feature in the photos too.
The wedding breakfast involved some moving speeches and a few tears from everyone. There were laughs and embarrassment too of course! Everyone had some time to relax after dinner before moving to the Park Suite. There was a cake to be cut the cake and a fun evening of dancing together to come.
